The Queen City Flying Club has a lot of trouble getting off the ground.
A wing and prayer is just not enough...

The Queen City Flying Club was incorporated by three Morrisville men on this day in 1930.

They began with Kinner Bird water plane, which died at Lake Elmore. The club reorganized with four men who bought a Parks P2 with an Axelson motor.

Two members took flight in a recently renovated plane. At 300 feet a wing buckled sending them to their death in a field near Williston Road.

Another member climbed into the Parks P2, concerned his friends' tragic fate would rob him of his nerve to fly. In his hurry, he forgot to turn on the gas, crashed, but wasn;t hurt. His was the last known activity of The Queen City Flying Club.
